The need for better networking
Outseer is a global leader in digital fraud prevention, protecting many e-commerce platforms and financial institutions. Operated under the RSA brand and infrastructure, Outseer previously relied on multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) networks to prioritize and direct network traffic.
However, this dated and complex environment became too expensive, rigid and slow for Outseer to stay competitive in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.
“Digital fraud is a rapidly growing threat,” explains Alex Kontorovich, Director, Head of Infrastructure Services, Outseer. Maintaining the status quo would impair Outseer’s real-time fraud detection capabilities and also limit its future growth.
Equinix as a foundation for growth
Outseer spun off from RSA in 2021 as a standalone brand. This transition allowed the company to simplify its global MPLS networks, riding on Equinix’s global digital ecosystem spanning 281 data centers and connectivity to 10,500+ customers, including 2,000+ network services and ~3,000 cloud and IT providers.
Equinix Global Solutions Architects assembled a solution that includes Equinix Fabric® to drive low-latency connections and Equinix high-performance data centers for colocation at multiple sites. With data and applications hosted in Equinix facilities in Ashburn, Boston, London and Amsterdam, Outseer achieves rapid processing and proximity to partners and customers for greater efficiency.
With a cost-efficient and global architecture, we can improve fraud detection now and in the future.

Broader reach with less complexity
Despite supporting multiple locations, Outseer reduces network complexity with Ethernet Virtual Private-LAN (EVP-LAN), enabling high-speed data exchange for its fraud detection systems, customer authentication service and in-house AI/ML model processing.
Benefits
Low latency
With Equinix’s scalable interconnections, Outseer processes data, applications and AI models at very low latency. This supports faster payment transaction analysis to detect and prevent digital fraud promptly.
Significant savings
With a simplified global network architecture that reduces the number of VPNs, Outseer reduces its annual infrastructure spending by more than half a million dollars.
Infrastructure agility
The modernized, software-defined network supports Outseer’s future adoption of cloud-based solutions, hybrid architectures and other agile digital transformation strategies.
