EQUINIX EXPANDS INTO THE NETHERLANDS

Equinix announces its acquisition of Virtu, a provider of network-neutral data center services in the Netherlands. The agreement will immediately provide Equinix with data center operations in the cities of Enschede and Zwolle, and by mid-2008, in Amsterdam. The acquisition comes as Equinix is undergoing expansion initiatives in ten markets across the U.S., Europe and Asia-Pacific regions. Equinix will have 40 data centers in 18 key markets worldwide by mid-2008, with more expansions to open by the end of the year. [more]
